On the login screen of your computer there is a new link that says “reset password”.
After you click ok, the password reset wizard will start.
First it will prompt you for your user ID.
Depending on what company you belong to your user ID is the same as your e-mail, where "first.last," is replaced by your first and last name respectively.
- For CEI: first.last@ceimaine.org
- For CCML and CBCM: first.last@ceicapitalmgmt.com
- For CVI: first.last@ceiventures.com
Once you enter in your username correctly you will get prompted to choose one of your authentication methods. These are the methods you set up when you registered for self-service password reset.
In this case I choose to have it send a text to my cell phone. I had to enter in the full 10-digit number in the bottom cell then click “Next”
After that I was asked to enter in the verification code that was sent to me via text.
Once that was successfully completed, I was prompted to choose the second method of contact for verification. Since I had set up more than two methods, at this point I could choose which one of the remaining methods I wanted to use. If I had only set up two then I would only have one choice here.
I choose my security questions.
At that point the system chose 3 of the 5 questions I had set up and prompted me to provide the answers.
After I successfully answered the questions, I was then prompted to change my password.
Keep in mind that if your password is too simple or doesn’t meet the complexity requirements you will see a message like the one shown below.
Unfortunately your password contains a word, phrase, or pattern that makes it easily guessable. Please try again with a different password.
Once you have successfully changed your password and clicked “Finish” you will be redirected back to the windows login page where you will be able to login to your computer with your new password.
After you log in you will receive an email confirming your password change.
If you have company email on your phone, wait until you are prompted before entering your new password on your phone.
